There are many opportunities to take a ferry and experience the coast from the sea. The crossing between Fowey and Megavissey across St. Austell Bay is a lovely journey, and you might get a chance to see basking sharks, dolphins or even an old warship. Another ferry trip worth taking is from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly. You can also fly to and from the Isles of Scilly. Airports that run this service are Newquay airport or Land's End Airport. Or what about seeing Cornwall from the air in a hot air balloon ride. (Flights go from Bodmin, Launceston, Bude, Okehampton, Tavistock and Liskeard.)
